Junior AI Primer: Weekend accelerator

Give us eight hours, we will make junior understand what AI is.  This class last four times, and will have a rolling start time for year round access.  Students will earn a AI Junior Ranger 1 badge at the end of the class.

AI is here to stay.  AI is both computer science and math.  It is critical that people understand the fundamentals as young as possible.

This is a free class that last four hours online.  The topics include:

1. Applications and signifance of AI;

2. The foundations of machine learning and societal applications;

3. How computers tell a dog is a dog?

4. How ChatGPT works.  What is foundation model, LLM, and generative AI?

5. What is co-Pilot and what can it do?

6. The future of AI.

This class is intended for young children aged 9-15.  We discuss deep concepts in understandable fashion using unique materials.  At the end, a student will understand how the following works:

1. How Amazon prime recommend movies to you

2. How Google map build navigation route and estimate time of arrival

3. How ChatGPT generative contents, including pictures

and more.

The course will be given personally by Dr. Chang Liu, founder of STEMBAY learning center.
